A Little About Myself
My journey into the world of energy and spirit began long before I had words to describe either one.
I was eight years old when I first became aware of experiences that seemed to reach beyond the physical world around me. I didn't understand what was happening, but I remember the vivid imagery and powerful sensations clearly. Those early experiences stayed with me and became a quiet point of reference for much of what followed.
Years later, while living on the Lower East Side of New York City, something happened that brought that unseen world very suddenly back into my life. One evening, I learned that someone I knew and admired had died. I was overwhelmed by an intense and unexpected wave of sadness. Then, without explanation, the room filled with the unmistakable fragrance of roses. There were no roses.
I opened the windows and the door and walked into the hallway looking for the source. The fragrance was everywhere, strong enough that there was no mistaking it. And then I became aware of a voice.
I did not hear it through my physical ears. The words seemed to arrive directly within my consciousness: "Don't worry. It's okay. "There was more, most of which I no longer remember. I was also told that my life was about to change and that I would soon be moving. What I remember most clearly is what happened within me. The overwhelming sadness disappeared and was replaced by an extraordinary sense of calm.
Soon afterward, quite unexpectedly, someone found me a rent-controlled apartment in Greenwich Village. My life did, indeed, change. I cannot prove what happened in that room, nor do I need to. I know what I experienced, and it became one of the moments that changed the direction of my life.
Learning About Energy
There was no established path for someone like me to follow in those years. There were no university programs devoted to the subjects I wanted to understand, and the information now available with the touch of a screen simply did not exist. So I went looking. I studied hypnosis and self-hypnosis, Silva Mind Control, psychic development and Reiki. I attended the I.M. Psychic School, studied with mystics and occultists, read everything I could find, and participated in classes and development circles, many of them held informally in people's homes. I even walked on fire. Some things resonated. Others did not. But every experience gave me another opportunity to understand what I was sensing and to develop my ability to work consciously with energy. What began as curiosity gradually became the work of my life.
A Teacher Arrives
One of the most important turning points came in April 1985, when I joined a psychic development circle led by a well-known New York City medium. During one of our group meditations, a member of the circle entered a deep trance and began speaking in a voice quite different from their own. Over time, the consciousness speaking through this person identified herself as Gaeyida, a name connected with Gaia and the consciousness of the Earth. That encounter began an extraordinary period of my life.
For more than thirty years, I studied with Gaeyida through this method of channeled teaching. The work explored energy, healing, consciousness, the changing energetic environment of the planet, and our responsibility for how we use and carry energy in the world. Much of what I teach today grew from those years, not simply from what I was told, but from decades of working with the teachings, experiencing energy directly, observing what happened, and developing my own understanding along the way.
The Journey Continues
I have now spent much of my life exploring energy and consciousness. My understanding has changed over the years, as it should. I continue to learn, question, experience and discover. The work I do today is not exactly the work I was doing in 1985, nor should it be. What has remained constant is my belief that we are more than physical beings and that becoming conscious of our energetic nature changes the way we experience ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
My work through meditation, energy work and teaching is simply the continuation of that journey.
It is the work I came here to do.
